Greetings from  Alicetown After School Care.

Alicetown Afterschool Care was established by Sue Blackett, at the start of 1999,after taking over the after school care at Hutt Central School.

The opportunity arose as she had only just taken redundancy from the HuttHospital after 36 years of service as a Nurse. The programmes operate from the Halls at Hutt Central School and Petone Central School.

Alicetown Afterschool Care is an independent body that works closely with the schools to meet the needs of the children in their programmes.

Children will be provided with afternoon tea which will follow nutritional guidelines. e.g. cut-up fruit or biscuits.

Occasionally staff may give children sweet treats as part of an activity, such as sweets for prizes.

 Parents must brief staff fully on any food allergies or nutritional requirements that their children have.

We operate a holiday programme in the School Holidays.

All fees are due in advance of the Program commencing and are non-refundable.

Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR) Subsidy

Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR) Subsidy is a payment which helps families with the costs of before- and after-school programmes, and school holiday programmes.

It helps with the costs of before- and after-school programmes for up to 20 hours a week, and school holiday programmes of up to 50 hours a week.

All Alicetown after School Care programmes are Child Youth and Family approved. This means parents using our programmes can apply to Work & Income for the Oscar Childcare Subsidy to help pay fees.

Complete your application form for financial assistance, if you can print out and complete the appropriate application form below.

When you have the form complete bring it into us and we will put our information on the form and then you take it into work and income.
